Extended Schools

These activities are provided by staff within St. Anthony’s Academy for students both within the Academy and from primary feeder schools. The activities are open to any students from primary schools, not just those hoping to attend St. Anthony’s in the future.

For primary school students the activities are a good way to make new friends and learn new skills, and for those who come into St. Anthony’s, the activities provide an excellent way to get to know the school and some staff members before they come to the school which can ease the transition into secondary education. For students already in St. Anthony’s, the activities are an excellent way to learn and develop new skills, and can be a way to keep in touch with their primary schools.

Activities provided vary term by term, and details will be posted on this website, and are also sent to all the primary feeder schools in the area if places are available after out Y6 intake night.

The activities for this term (September 2019) are

History Club on Tuesday evening (4pm until 5pm)

Arts & Craft Club on Wednesday evening (4pm until 5pm);

Ski Club on Friday evenings at Silksworth Dry Ski Slope(4pm until 6pm, attendance is for 1 hour either 4-5 or 5-6 depending on skill and previous experience).

The activities start week commencing September 23rd.

The cost of the activities is £4 per session and this cost includes all equipment and materials (Ski club requires some extra money for locker hire).
